One of the SAIGC’s annual highlights is the staging of a very successful Pro-Am event. Being Italians, as you can imagine, there is enough food and drink to feed two armies, let alone 288 golfers! You can even get a Short Black, Macchiato or Cappucino on the course!
The 2011 Pro- Am is scheduled for Friday 15th April on the East Course of The Grange Golf Club and we are very pleased to have as our major sponsor for the 20th year in succession, Integrated Waste Services. 72 Groups, made up of 3 amateurs and 1 professional in each group, will compete on the day, 36 Groups teeing off at 7.00am with another 36 Groups teeing off at 12.00 noon.
The SAIGC Pro-Am is unique in many ways such as:
- Being the richest and largest Pro-Am event in South Australia, putting up $25,000 in Prize money for the Professionals.
- Renowned for being one of the best organised and most sought after Pro-Am tournaments in the country.
- Most importantly, ALL profits made from the event go to charity.
Note that the SAIGC has donated more than $400,000 to charities since our first Pro-Am event. In 2010 we raised $50,000 from the day which was shared between The Women’s & Children’s Hospital Foundation and Novita, two amazing children’s charities that do an enormous amount of work for children in need in our community.
